Original Design

• The original design created by you are fully recommended for selling and printing.
• The digital arts / designs / photographs made by you are ready to upload for selling through our website and printing on fabric with no objections.
• The art created on paper / canvas need to get scan and digitize first at high resolution before uploading on our website.

Licensed Design

• Please make sure that designs taken from Internet must grant permission to use for print.
• Please get license permission from third party before uploading their design on our site.
• Please check all instructions for purchase of design from third party including payments / royalty / term of use of design etc. for safe use of design on our site.

The beauty of digital print process to allow any number of colors in design and boost designers, artists, painters and photographers to play with colors of their choice. With the flexibility comes the limitation of color matching to desktop, laptop or any display screens considered less trustable for color match purpose for fabric printing. Order Test Swatch

Test swatch is the best way to make sure for colors and design before ordering meterage considering color accuracy is the outmost importance. You can order and get the printed fabric test swatch to compare from your screen before confirming bulk meterage. Filling Colors from Color Chart

Color Chart is a standard color gamut offered by TIM in order to fill in the right colors in your design. Color chart is created in RGB mode (No Embed Color Profile) with rows and columns of different colors identified by the number visible below each color. You may select color from the chart and fill in your design. You may order Color Chart on all kind of fabrics offered on TIM site.

Please note before filling the color in design, select RGB mode with No color profile selected. Once your design is ready, please save your design with No Embed Color Profile selected in the end. The designs received at TIM will be automatically converted into RGB mode and printing will be done by deselecting any embed profile to your design. So, no need to worry and we will take care of that part if skipped at your end.

Color Instructions from TIM

• We offer water-based dye printing through digital print process. There will be no metallic, plastisol, rubberized print on the fabric even if your design has such requirement.
• Design colors displayed on screen or on paper artwork may or may vary to different monitor profiles, screen profiles and desktop printer profiles.
• Colors brilliance and saturation may vary on different fabrics. Polyester and Viscose fabrics may display vivid colors in comparison to other natural fabrics.
• The white color in your design will be leave as base fabric color. White color never get print in direct digital fabric printing. The white areas of design on fabric will appear as fabric base color which may be off-white or white.
• Dark colors may appear lighter on some fabric qualities depending on the thickness, weight and transparency of the fabric.
• Digital printing on fabric is mixing of 8 base colors forming millions of color tones. The color blending visible on screen may result different on the fabric which must consider under tolerance for few color tones.

The image and resolution are very important factors while considering the design for digital fabric printing. Any mistake with these factors may lead to major change in size of design or quality of print on fabric.

Image Size Setting

The size setting is utmost important to get desired dimension of your design on the fabric. Please check Print size of elements, motifs, placements in your design and most likely image size before uploading for selling and printing on our site. The size need to be set along with the resolution in order to get the right dimension of print. Resolution must be set between 150 – 300 dpi and correspondingly image size to evaluate right dimension of print. For eg., any print of size 25” x 25” at 150 dpi must measure 3750 pixels x 3750 pixels calculated by 25 inches x 150 dots = 3750.

In case of design scanning or clicking photograph, we recommend high resolution to be used at least 150 dpi to produce high quality image. The pictures or photographs are sensitive to the distortion of quality if not set at high resolution depending on the image.

Resolution Setting

TIM recommend excellent print quality resolution above 150 dpi (dots per inch) and acceptable print quality resolution between 72 dpi and 150 dpi. Below 72 dpi, we can print the file but don’t guarantee quality of printing.

The design upload to our site shows actual size and dimension of your design at 100% IMAGE SCALE. You may change design image scale if required bigger or smaller size print of your design and corresponding resolution will be changed automatically.

• Below 72 dpi – Poor print quality
• 72 dpi – 150 dpi – Acceptable print quality
• 150 dpi – above – Excellent print quality

The design repeat is important for seamless layout of design across the fabric. The repeat needs to be adjusted in the design software before saving the design to upload on our website. You may see preview of your design with repeat generated across the length and width of fabric selected in order to freeze best repeat for your design. By clicking different Layout buttons, you can see result of different repeat layout in real time that helps in deciding the best repeat option fits your design. Below are types of Repeat Layout,

Centered Image

The design will appear in the center of the preview window for checking dimension of design without repeat. If this layout is selected, the image will be printed in the center of the fabric and it is good option for placement print if cut pattern around the design is yet to decide.

Straight Repeat

Straight repeat is a basic repeat that shows continuous seamless tiling of your design to check continuation of elements, motifs and placements are well placed to form seamless pattern before printing. You may check it in real time in preview after upload of your design.

Vertical Cross Repeat

The design will be displayed with repeat half drop vertical from left to right direction. This repeat is suitable for design created half step vertical and that will result in seamless pattern repeated across the fabric.

Horizontal Cross Repeat

This is a staggered arrangement of design with repeat half drop horizontal from up to down direction. The repeat works well for design created half step horizontal to result in seamless pattern across the fabric.

Mirror Layout Repeat

The layout works best for the design with irregular shapes and it automatically create mirror of your design to form four folds seamless pattern in all directions (Left to Right, Up to Down)

The Fabric preview window on the left side of the Upload page will show appearance of your design across the fabric canvas. You need to be sure about appearance before placing the order to get everything right.

How Fabric Preview Window work?

• Design appearance in preview window display repeat layout, design seam, design size , editing (repeat, rotation, image scale) etc.
• The rulers on Preview window shows measurement of the design. The rulers get reset for each fabric selected depending on the width of the fabric available. Please check the measurement and design scale carefully before placing order.
• If design is placed with Centered Layout, white solid area will appear around the design. The white will be left out area on the fabric except design area.
• The design with repeat problems will appear with white thin lines to indicate issues with the seam of that design. Please choose repeat layout carefully for seamless appearance of design on selected fabric.

1. Create Design

• Create your Design in desired size by use of design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, Nedgraphics etc.
• For Hand Paint Art or Paper Art, Please scan the Art for digitising and editing of the Art to the Design.
• For Pictures & Photographs, Please use a high resolution Digital Camera to capture desired size image and load that to the Design Tool for further editing purpose.
• Next Step is to set the Design Repeat of the design created. The supported Repeat options are Straight Repeat, Vertical Half Drop, Horizontal Half Drop and Mirror Repeat. The Design, Artwork or Picture must have a repeat for Seamless continuous printing across the fabric length and width.

• The Design must be developed in higher resolution between 150 dpi and 300 dpi for high quality results
• The Design must be saved in any Photoshop compatible format – JPEG | TIF | PSD | PNG | PDF | AI file format.

2. Add Design

• Open the Design that you have created using above steps and that you wish to add for selling through your shop on TIM website.
• Reduce the Image size of this design by 300% proportionately (Mandatory) so your design Image size becomes 3x times Smaller than the Original design size that you have created.
• Next Step is to set the Design Resolution of reduced size design which is mandatory required at 300 dpi resolution only.
• Login to your profile and Add Design to your Shop using Upload Your Designs tool in My Designs section at Tex India Mart
• If any step above is skipped before adding the design, the design will be considered rejected and can’t be displayed to sell on TIM website.

3. Submit Design

• After added design is approved, you will receive an email with assigned SKU # code to your uploaded design that is standard reference for that particular added design for our mutual communication.
• Rename your Created Design file (Original Design) using “SKU#” and send it through www.dropbox.com to hello@texindiamart.com for our records.
• The submitted files will be used only for fabric print order by the customer and will be secure confidential with Tex India Mart.
• In case, you want to remove any design from your Shop at TIM, Please generate a request using SKU# and send email to hello@texindiamart.com

4. Print Trials (Optional)

• You may order your design with your desired fabric fabric on our website to check the quality and colors of your added design.
• You may order color chart from our website to check and fill the colors according to the color codes.
• You may order Test Swatch or Big Swatch to check print quality of your added design anytime. This would be an option to keep records of all your designs uploaded to sell or show physical printed design to your clients

The advantage of digital print comes with a limitation of proofing colors matching to desktop screen, laptop screen or other display screens. The print machines are calibrated to profiles which may or may not result to your color expectations in design. Filling Colors from Color Chart

Color Chart is a standard color grid on a particular fabric to check the suitable color tone and fill in the right color tone in your design. TIM Color chart is created in RGB mode (No Embed Color Profile) with rows and columns of different colors identified by the unique number visible below each and every color. You may select code of desired color from the chart and fill in your design to ensure right colors every time. The color chart soft copy will be sent to you post order to identify RGB color value / unique color code to fill in the value to your design’s color. You may order Color Chart on different kind of fabrics.

Please find below steps for filling colors from Color Chart,

• Open TIM color chart soft copy image that you have received along with your design to which color needs to get changed in Adobe Photoshop.
• Select Image Mode “RGB Color” for your design and fill in the colors through Color Picker tool selected from the color chart file. You may check RGB color value of particular color from color chart file and fill in RGB color value to the color in your design file.
• After color changes, Save your file in RGB color mode with no color profile selected during saving your file.
• The file is ready with desired colors to place order for printing.
